6am: Wake up, Wash Up! 7am: Send Jewel back home! She is going to miss the day that we are going to the RSAF Open House 2011! 8am: Eat breakfast, pack up (4 big bottles of water bottles!), wake up my little prince LUCAS. 8.30am: LEAVE house! Travelling journey: Took a cab from serangoon north and headed to Paya Lebar Airbase. There is a relocated drop off point and at 8.45am, there are slow but gradual number of people walking in from the designated car park area and drop off point. The weather: Slight drizzle. 9.45am: Waiting at the entrance after the "gantry" where our belongings were scanned through to prevent disallowed items to be brought into our country's air base. The show is supposed to be opened at 9.30am and the waiting field before the entrance is big but crowded. :( We are waiting quite impatiently already. Snapping away... CAUGHT: Lots of big cameras.. small cameras... big lens... small lens... long lens.. It's only the men that I saw as of now that carries the super mega pro cameras... yet to see other females yet.. 9.50am: Start to hear voices coming out from the speakers.. but ill-prepared, the speakers did not seemed to be functioning well (CHEY! on the official opening to the public!?!) so we totally cannot figure out what the.... they are talking about... SUDDENLY all the balloons burst! Well, now its open! 9.55am: Xavier asked me "Do you think the people will run in or walk in slowly?". Yeah, they all walked in slowly.. but in frustrated steps.
About the Show: I really dont quite enjoy the show. To sit on each type of aircraft, we have to queue up for at least half an hour (FOR EACH STATION!). Also, the beginning's ariel show - i dont know what they did but only one aircraft made a silly "walk" on the "runway" and flew off. Nothing fascinating! The organizers started the opening late so nothing was on schedule as seen on the brochure. We don't even know when the air show is going to be as there were other scheduled air programs too. By the time, we realised that they are gonna start the air show, the grand station is filled up and the fences are crowded with all walks of people. Ok, shorties, wear heels or else you will be blocked by tons n tons of heads. Yeah, I did not wear heels. Not that I am tall, but I have no choice! arrgggg.. got to carry lucas!
About photography: Oh man! I am NOT tall so all that is in my view inside the lens all TONS of HAIRS and HEAD! Not just normal hairs, I noticed greasy hairs, sticky-alike hairs, frizzy hairs, white hairs, grey hairs, super black hairs... jiat lak! CAUGHT: ALL the professional cameras taking shots at the flying planes as the narrators yak yak on the story as they showcase the aircrafts in real live! So bear with me as I present the pics to you on YIXUAN's view of RSAF 2011. All pics have been downsized to its minimum! Editing done with photoshop.
